Data, purposes and legal bases
The game requires no account. Game saves and motion sensor readings remain on your device. The optional microphone detects a shout: audio is briefly buffered locally, without recording files or audio transmission. You can refuse or revoke permission in Android; touch controls remain available.
The ranking automatically sends a pseudonymous installation identifier, course day and version, control scheme, score, distance, attempt count and app version. The server adds the update time. These data are used for score comparisons, submission verification and statistics. Results can be retrieved by supplying the identifier.
Connection data, including IP addresses, request times and requested addresses, are used to operate and secure services. We process your email address and message to reply.
The ranking, service operation and security, and correspondence rely on our legitimate interest in providing them (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Legal obligations, including handling users' rights, rely on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Providing data is not a statutory requirement, but is necessary for the relevant features. Microphone access is optional. Ranking connections use HTTPS.
Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics 4 uses cookies, identifiers, pages visited, interactions, browser and device data, and approximate location for website statistics. AdMob processes IP addresses, approximate location, device or account identifiers, interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. Google may combine activity across services depending on settings and consent. Google Privacy Policy.
Website analytics and advertising processing requiring consent rely on consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can refuse and withdraw consent through the website's privacy settings or the game's ad privacy settings, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. We do not automatically respond to Do Not Track signals.
Recipients and retention
Hosting and email providers, and Google, receive data to provide the services described. They may process data outside the EEA, including in the US. Information about transfer safeguards, including adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or DPF Principles, is provided by the hosting provider, email provider and Google.
Ranking entries are normally retained for the current UTC day and the previous six days; older entries are automatically deleted. Aggregate statistics without identifiers remain indefinitely. The daily server backup is normally retained for 24 hours.
GA4 user and event data retention is two months; the identifier's retention period resets on activity. Aggregate reports may remain longer. GA4 cookies have a lifetime of up to two years, renewed during visits.
Connection data retention depends on infrastructure settings. We retain correspondence until the matter is resolved and, where required by legal obligations or the protection of legal claims, until the applicable statutory periods expire. Clearing app data removes local saves; email us to request deletion of server data.
Rights and changes
Under the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, a copy, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Send requests to contact@sockyhorse.com. We may need information to locate data and verify your request. We normally respond within one month. You may complain to the Polish Personal Data Protection Office or another competent supervisory authority.
The game is intended for people aged 13 and above. Contact us about children's data. We publish policy changes here with a new date and explain material processing changes before introducing them.
